My husband survived the past ten years, living with prostate cancer. It's with a heavy heart now, that I post this to my personal blog to let my friends know. I was by his side when he peacefully passed away two weeks ago, at home. I will forever love and miss him.
A few other photos of my "KIND" husband.
Rick, was kind to everyone
Rick with 3 of his high school friends, his forever friends - they ran a 5K for many years together, to benefit their high school cross country team, that the four of them ran when the school opened. They ran the same course they ran in school.
My husband loved nature, wildlife and the ocean.
We enjoyed spending time in the mountains, lakes and
the seacoast of New Hampshire, where we live.
Pictured here at Lost Dutchman State Park in AZ.
My son and family live in Gilbert, AZ.
We love the Superstition Mountains.
Last summer - two of our grandchildren
who live in Colorado, along with their Mom (my daughter)
and their Dad. Photo taken at the Great Island Common in
New Castle, NH with Rick and I.

...Dawn, I'm sad to learn of your lose.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. It is very hard, I miss him so much, it's the hardest thing I've ever been through. We've known each other since high school. Dawn
DeleteI'm so sorry to learn of your husband's passing. Sending hugs and prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Betty. I've known my husband since high school. My kids came last week and spent a week with me, I hated to see them go back home. I appreciate your prayers.

ReplyDeleteThank you Jackie, he certainly was the love of my life. We met in the 60's in high school. He was a wonderful person and husband, I will forever miss him.

Oh Dawn, I so didn't want to hear this. I know you will miss him so very much. I will pray for you now, we didn't know before. The picture collection is a wonderful tribute to him, for sure they will bring memories of the two of you for a long while. And we know him a little better also.
ReplyDeleteAlso though, Mrs. Jim's brother's wife died this Thursday. She didn't know, went to the hospital fearing a small stroke and died in the ICU four days later.
..
Thank you, Jim. It is very hard, I miss him very much. I'm also sorry to hear that your wife's sister-in-law passed this week, too. Sending prayers to your family. Dawn
