Jack-O'-Lantern
Spotted last October (2020) in New Castle, NH.
Yes, we already had snow! I ended up
using this pic, on one of my calendars this year.
I took this photo from Portsmouth, NH If you'd like to read about the history, it's quite interesting.
You can find out a lot on Wikipedia
There are also, other stories and even books about it, including this interesting story about Humphrey Bogart and his connection to the prison.
JAM
This jam has been my favorite for years, it's a must in my kitchen! Stonewall Kitchen headquarters is located about 20 miles from me, in York, Maine. It's so much fun to go there and shop in the corporate facility, not to mention the cafe inside. Tours are also available at this facility. We also, have a store in my hometown.Who remembers this? Talking about jam, I couldn't get this song out of my head! LOL!

That was interesting about the Naval prison. I had not heard of it before. I didn't know Kittery was so close either. I spent a Saturday morning in Portland back in the early 60's but I can't remember a thing I saw or did. My neighbor across the street, in Manchester, was the Brown Shoe Rep for New England and he would go make Saturday morning visits to the local shoe stores. And lastly, Mrs. Jim's chihuahua dog that she had when we married was named Pebbles. Pebbles liked me but made sure which side of the bed I got into.
