The letter E is for...
Eagle, Episcopal, Easter and Evergreen

Eagle in York, Maine - my photo from a few years, ago when I was heading to York, almost daily, to watch a pair of eagles build their nest. York is about a 25 min ride from my home. The Eagles still come back every year to the same nest.  So much fun to watch and photograph. We lived in York for two years back in the 1990's.
St. Ann's Episcopal church, is also known to many as
the Stone Chapel in Kennebunkport, Maine USA.
It's been a summer chapel on the seacoast,
since first opening in 1892.
The doors were just recently painted red.

  1. ...an EAGLE is a rare sighting in this area, I'm jealous!
...the stonework on St. Ann's EPISCOPAL church reminds my a church in the Adirondacks.
...I remember as a kid getting new EASTER clothes.
...the EVERGREENS at Lake Winnipesaukee look great.
Thanks Dawn for sharing, take care and enjoy your week.

  2. Dawn, I enjoyed reading your nice "E" post this morning. Every topic rang a bell here, starting with Lake Winipesaukee where I spent a week campong with a junior high group from our church.
Our church wasn't a pretty steepled New England white pain6red one but rather an edge of downtown Manchester redish brown brick First Methodist. That year I taught the seventh grade boys Sunday Bible class. The start of my Bible study for over 40 years total. Most have been in Baptist churches, my specialty was seniors, late ages until they weren't able to attend. Very often they taught me.
And I mustn't neglect here your pretty eagle in flight capture. Gorgeous!! We had more hawks than eagles eagles when we lived just north of Houston but I have not seen even one here at Katy, just west of Houston. North we had lots of trees and a big lake for food sources. Half mile from a National Forest with three pretty golf courses.

  3. Awesome eagle shot. I'm green with envy. Beautiful dress with matching hat. I miss dressing up for Easter. The shot of the evergreens is beautiful!
