This weeks FAVORITE
"Beautiful Bald Eagles" I see in York, Maine
The pair had 3 eggs hatch this spring, only one survived. I visit here often, the nest is fairly close to the road.
I live about 20 miles away.

Old abandoned "BUILDINGS" in Mesa, Arizona
"Buckhorn Baths Motel"
I took these photos this past April.
It's so sad to see these buildings look like this. I remember when it was a wonderful place to visit. If you'd like learn/see a little more, please click on the short videos below. The Buckhorn was an amazing part of AZ history, you won't be disappointed!
Both videos run between 3 and 4 minutes
I loved visiting here with my children in the late 70's, early 80's and they especially loved the trophy room! My in-laws knew the owners and
they used to come and take the hot baths. Also, a famous spot for Spring Training baseball players to go, the videos tell about it.

Impressive shots of the bald eagle and nice action baseball shot! The beach sunset is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like your Bald Eagles and the Buckhorn Baths tied for best, Dawn. We have Bald Eagles up north of Houston were we moved from. Our subdivision sits on the edge of a Nation Forest. The second Buckhorn Baths picture reminds me of our home in El Paso when I was in the Army. I don't know how old they were, we backed up to she shops on Alameda Avenue. I only knew our next door neighbor, he was a Border Control fellow. That was the day when everyone came freely back and forth, a driver's license got them and us across the Rio Grand River. No we are trying to shut them all out. They really aren't Mexican but rather Guatemala and Haiti folk fleeing from gang takeover of their countries. The Mexicans get caught up in the fiasco yet we want them to buy our stuff.
