Here, I spotted a Common Loon in its winter plumage. It's gray and white and their eyes are deep red. Quite different from their summer breeding plumage, seen below!

I took this photo a few years ago at Upper Baker Pond

in New Hampshire.  I entered it in the Sandwich, NH country fair and it received a blue ribbon for first place.
