Happy Thanksgiving
I am very thankful for my family, especially this time of the year. We spend it with all my cousins (my Dad's side) and their families in MA, near Cape Cod. This year my Dad will be going with us, everyone is so happy that he'll be joining us! He will be 89 in a few weeks, he's lived longer than any of his relatives and the family loves to visit with him.
So for my post today, I've added many photos of my family...some old ones and some newer.
My Dad is on the left, he was the second of three boys. This photo of the boys with their Mother was taken just after their father died, he was only 33. He had an infection in his leg, I'm sure in today's world there would be drugs to fight such infections. His Mom passed away at the age of 75 and his two brothers were in their sixties and early seventies.
In this photo, is my Dad (18 years old) shortly after he joined the Navy, pictured with his Mom and his two step brothers. His Mom remarried a few years after his Dad died and she had two more boys. The youngest one is still living and in his 70's.

I think this is my favorite!
Mom and Dad on their 60th wedding anniversary...they were married for 64 years before my Mom passed away, less than two years ago.
Mom and I ~ love this one, too!

I love my family ♥

Family is so important. I wish I live closer to mine and saw them more.
