Icicles
Starting to melt, on my lilac tree
A pair of wood ducks, standing on ice in a pond.
Taken this week - York, Maine
I go out often, to take pictures of the sun coming up.
This, was one of them.
Instruments
That's me in the middle, playing the alto clarinet
in my high school marching band, 1966 or 67

A beautiful butterfly, I can't wait for them to return.
Probably taken at the wildlife refuge - Plum Island, MA

...fortunately I don't have ICICLES hanging from the gutters now!
ReplyDelete...the pair of wood duck on the ICE IS wonderful.
...INCREDIBLE sunrise for sure!
...my INSTRUMENT was the string bass.
...Monards are gorgeous INSECTS!
Thanks Dawn for stopping by, enjoy your weekend.
Interesting, I never thought of a butterfly as an insect. I went for the ugly sort.
ReplyDeleteBrrr. You make me cold just reading and seeing. We hardly ever have icicles, even less snow. Both perhaps three times since we've come in 1964.
ReplyDeleteI like your ducks, they should float when the ice melts. Unless someone takes them. I'm glad you played in the band, I did not. Played the tonet and piano. You are right, my insects seem to be small ants, I think they migrated from the south.
I won't post, or if I do I won't return comments until at least April. I will be on another Sabbatical leave.
..
Hi Dawn. Love the butterfly. I posted one, too. I saw him about a month ago. Couldn't believe it was out so early. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
