"FAVORITE"
An EVENING out - Mom and Dad at his prom.
My Dad went back to finish high school after
coming home from the war. They are pictured
here in 1949, he was 23 in this photo and
they had been married a year.
And, EVENING light at
Ayers Lake Barrington, New Hampshire
They're back! Taken a few weeks ago.
This is one, of a pair of Eagles that come to York, Maine every year. Pretty sure it's Mom, they mate for life and come back to the same nest each year, to have their babies. Last year she laid two eggs and only one chick survived. Below is a short YouTube video that will tell you how to tell the difference between
male and female bald eagles.
This video is very helpful.

...'E'xcellent Es. dawn. I should have thought of 'E'gret! Wonderful 'E'agle. The 'E'arly morning and 'E'vening lights are beautiful. Thanks for sharing, 'E'njoy!
ReplyDeleteLiking your "E's", your Evening picture with the snow was really pretty. I don't think I've been to Ayers Lake Barrington although Dover, yes. Thank you for the Decorah Eagle site's eagle info. I used to carry them on my blog during gestration period time. My sister lives in Iowa.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of Egrets here around our little retention ponds and also at Lake Conroe near which we used to live. Here was my favorite who always sat on the bridge coming home until he/she was no more.

Loved the photo of your Mum and Dad and your evening shot. So enjoyed the video Dawn Thanks for adding that in. I hope you have great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful egret and love the morning and evening sunset. Especially like how the sun reflects off the snow in the evening shot. But the eagle is my absolute favorite! WOW!
ReplyDeleteI love the Kentucky farm - nice and flat, unlike most of New England! Your parents look so loving here! The eagle is so majestic!
