  2. Really nice pictures. The very first one looks like our family's horse on the farm. She wore her maine cropped after a very bad fistula bout. I rode Minnie to high school for my first two years. We had a barn for our horses. That was rural Nebraska. Mrs. Jim's sister was 18 months older than she. People thought they might be twins.

    1. Dawn, Thank You for visiting my "Weekend". I was reminded that I wanted to tell you that when I lived in Manchester I had visited Lake Winnipesaukee several times, most spending nights, with a church youth group or as a family outing staying in a rented cottage. That was in the 1960's. (And with a different wife then -- last night Mrs. Jim, this one, and I celebrated 45 years of marriage.)

  5. I love these horses, especially the mom with her foal! You are a cute couple...I have a sister in Laconia but have't been there - although I'd prefer to visit in the Summer!

  6. I, too, love the horses! The Crane Estate is a magnificent building - a lovely house no doubt although I would not want the heating bills that go with it!
