I love this town
My father's grandparents came to the United States from the Azores, Portugal, and settled in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. They were farmers and when my Dad was young he use to work during the summer on their farm. Much of my family still live in Mattapoisett. I think it's one of the quaintest towns in New England. Below are some random photos I've taken.
Mattapoisett Harbor
the "Old Stone Bridge"
Ned's Point Lighthouse - sunrise

“Salty” the Seahorse, is 38 feet tall and is located at the corner of Rt.6 and North St. The Seahorse has solar powered eyes and is considered to be the symbol of Mattapoisett by most who live here. He wears a Santa hat during the Christmas season :)
St. Anthony's Cemetery
where many of my relatives have been laid to rest
